Garlic and Chili Winter Greens

Makes 2 portions.


  • ½ lb spinach leaves
  • ½ lb chopped kale, swiss chard or beet greens
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp crushed chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste.


  • Heat a large heavy bottom dutch oven over medium heat. Add butter, add garlic and chili flakes.
  • Add all the greens, then cook, stirring for about 5 minutes, until tender.
