Compliance

Insets-10Regulatory Compliance

All licensees and permit holders are responsible for knowing and following the rules set out in the Liquor Control Act, Regulations, and any Policy Manuals of the PEILCC in addition to any specific terms or conditions of their license or permit.

Inspections

Liquor inspectors conduct regular, unannounced inspections of licensed establishments to check for compliance.

In addition, a liquor inspector may carry out an inspection in response to a complaint from a member of the public, another licensee, a municipal government, police or any other agency.

Enforcement

If a licensee or permit holder has failed to be in compliance, the liquor inspector will issue an unsatisfactory Compliance Report which identifies the violations. All violations are presented by the Director of Corporate Services to the PEILCC Board for consideration of possible disciplinary action.
