19 Crimes Martha’s Chard


Martha Stewart 19 Crimes Chardonnay is the ideal guest for this year’s Thanksgiving celebrations. Filled with toasty sur-lies characters and creamy caramel oak it offers a firm acidic core, which keeps this Cali Chard in balance.

Pairing wine and turkey is a matter of personal preference, but certain pairings will enhance the flavour profiles of both the wine and the turkey. Martha Stewart Chardonnay delivers both flavour and structure to match the many tastes and textures featured in a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Propeller Galaxy IPA


Propeller Galaxy is a New England style IPA that captivates the senses with its hazy appearance and smooth body. The Kraken Spiced Rum


The Kraken is a Caribbean black spiced rum distilled using naturally sweet molasses from locally grown sugar cane.

There are over 11 different spices used in the blend including ginger, clove and cinnamon. The Kraken is strong, rich and spicy. Cloves, plum preserves and cinnamon are revealed on the nose. Hints of chocolate, molasses and vanilla show on the palate. The finish is smooth and lingering.

This Dark rich rum is ideal with dishes containing ginger, pepper and sweet spice. Try it with BBQ meats, Jerk Chicken or flambé desserts featuring bananas.

Black Magic Mojito: Debbie’s Cocktail Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 2oz Kraken Spiced Rum
  • 8 Mint Leaves
  • ½ Lime cut into 4 wedges
  • 1-2 Tbsp sugar (to taste)
  • Soda Water
  • Ice

DIRECTIONS

  • In a sturdy glass add the mint leaves and 2 lime wedges.
  • Muddle to release the oils.
  • Add sugar & remaining lime; muddle ingredients (do not strain).
  • Fill glass with ice.
  • Add Rum top with soda.
  • Garnish with lime wedge and sprig of mint.

Gahan Vic Park Pale Ale


Gahan Vic Park is a medium bodied American Pale Ale that is balanced and hoppy. It shows lots of personality with aromas of grapefruit, pine and light malty breadiness on the nose. The palate is clean and bright with bursts of refreshing tropical fruit and a light bitterness on the finish. The aromatic hops and citrus components are well matched with pizza, Mexican food and subtly fruity cheddars.


Double Hill Nomad Cider


During the fall season show some Island love to the Caledonia based Double Hill Cidery. The Double Nomad is a terroir driven cider which truly reflects the unique soils and growing conditions of Prince Edward Island. The cider is crafted with wild apples that were “collected from the hedgerows and forest edges of the fields of eastern PEI.” The Nomad is a warm, golden colored cider with bold apricot and apple flavors with a balanced spicy finish.

Enhance a harvest inspired brunch with the Double Hill Nomad Cider. Hard cider is well suited to pair with a variety of sweet and spicy dishes that are typically served at brunch.


Riverdale Orchard 2 Scots 3 Apples


Leaves will soon be changing and temperatures will begin to drop indicating it’s time to toast the end of summer season. Celebrate the Island harvest with a glass of Riverdale Orchard 2 Scots 3 Apples .This award winning cider is produced amongst 45 acres of rolling hills in Riverdale, Prince Edward Island. Using 3 varieties of apples, 2 Scots 3 Apples is made from 100% apple juice. It is a crisp, dry, refreshing and slightly carbonated. Best served at 8-10°C.

Hard ciders, like wine, have an amazing affinity for food pairing. The lower alcohol, carbonation and natural fruitiness will marry well with the bold flavors of Gorgonzola Cheese or roasted game dishes. Enjoy a glass of the Riverdale Cider with an Apple and Blue Cheese Salad. INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Orange Wedge
  • 13 Cranberries
  • 3, 1 inch pieces of Crystallized Ginger
  • 2oz of Aperol
  • 1oz of Lillet Blanc
  • 4oz Riverdale Orchard 2 Scots 3 Apples
  • 4 dashes of Angostura Bitters

DIRECTIONS

  • In a cocktail shaker muddle orange wedge, 10 cranberries and 2 pieces of ginger.
  • Add Aperol, Lillet Blanc, bitters.
  • Shake well and strain into ice filled cocktail glass.
  • Top with Hard Cider.
