A Dining Room License authorizes the licensee to purchase liquor from the PEILCC and sell the liquor so purchased by the glass and beer and wine by the glass or open bottle with meals.

A $200.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.

The annual fee for a Dining Room License is $250.00.

Liquor License Application Requirements


LOUNGE LICENSE

Only a Dining Room License holder may apply for a Lounge License.

A Lounge License authorizes the licensee to purchase liquor from the PEILCC and to sell the liquor so purchased by the glass and beer and wine by the glass or open bottle, with or without meals.

A $200.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.

The annual fee for a Lounge License is $250.00.

SPECIAL PREMISE LICENSE

The PEILCC will consider a Special Premises License if satisfied that the premises are operated primarily for the advancement of recreational, sporting, cultural or other community activities and are economically viable without a liquor license.

A $200.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.

The annual fee for a Special Premises License is $250.00.

CLUB LICENSE

In order to be considered for this license the requirements of a club include:

  1. has a clearly defined basis of membership and reasons for existence other than selling alcoholic beverages;
  2. is non-proprietary and is not operated for the pecuniary gain or personal profit of any member, officer or shareholder thereof;
  3. has an acceptable constitution and bylaws;
  4. is a body corporate;
  5. has not less than twenty members; and
  6. has for its objects definite purposes of a social, athletic, recreational, fraternal, benevolent, or patriotic nature.

A $200.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.

The annual fee for a Club License is: $75.00 for a membership of one hundred or less, $150.00 for a membership of over one hundred, not over one hundred and fifty; $250.00 for a membership of over one hundred and fifty.

Liquor License Application Requirements


MILITARY CANTEEN LICENSE

The PEILCC may issue a Military Canteen License to camps, armories, barracks of active or reserve units of the Canadian Forces under direct supervision and control of the Forces, and in the quarters of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Branches of the Royal Canadian Legion and recognized Armed Services Veterans Associations.

A $100.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.

The annual fee for a Military Canteen License is $75.00.

Liquor License Application Requirements


TOURIST HOME LICENSE

The holder of a Tourist Home License may sell and serve liquor upon the licensed premises to guests of the tourist home.

The PEILCC will consider a Tourist Home License if satisfied that:

  1. the premises have been designated as an inn, bed and breakfast, guest home or tourist home by an accommodations rating program recognized by the PEILCC;
  2. the premises has accommodations of not less than 3 rooms that are rented to the travelling public.

An application for a Tourist Home License shall be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of $100.00.

The annual fee for a Tourist Home License is $125.00 or $75.00 for 6 months.

Liquor License Application Requirements


CATERER’S LICENSE

The holder of a Dining Room, Special Premise, or Club License with a fully operational kitchen may apply for a Caterer’s License.

A Caterer’s License authorizes a licensee:

  1. to operate at locations without a liquor license; and
  2. cater only to events where meals are to be served in conjunction with the service of liquor.

The annual fee for a Caterer’s License is $250.00.

PACKAGE SALES LICENSE

Only Dining Room, Club, or Special Premises License holders may apply for a Package Sales License.

A Package Sales License authorizes a licensee:

  1. sell unopened wine, spirits and beer to a person who has taken a full course meal in their premises prior to the purchase
  2. closed packaged product may also be sold with a meal for take out AND delivery orders
  3. there is no restriction on the type/brand of product sold
  4. product not to be opened or consumed on the premise
  5. complete description on page 13.5 of Licensee Policy Manual.

The annual fee for a Package Sales License is $25.00 or $12.50 for 6 months.
