Designated drivers can win free tickets to Rock the Boat MusicFest

It’s a unique way to encourage safe rockin’ for festivalgoers.

Rock the Boat MusicFest and the P.E.I. Liquor Control Commission (PEILCC) have joined forces to make sure that this year’s festival is a good time and a safe time with its Name Your Designated Driver contest.

Concertgoers can register their designated driver by visiting tvoysterfest.ca and clicking on the contest so that the can be eligible for a free ticket.

Draws will be held every Friday morning leading-up to Rock the Boat on Aug. 6.

“A bit part of our success in previous years is Rock the Boat’s reputation for being one of the biggest and best parties on P.E.I.,” said Jeff Noye, chairman, Rock the Boat MusicFest. “Thanks to our partnership with the PEILCC, we have also made sure that it a safe and responsible event.”

Held annually in Tyne Valley, the 2016 edition will feature legendary Canadian rock band Trooper and Nova Scotia rockers The Trews.

Rock the Boat MusicFest is held annually during the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival at Green Park, just outside of Tyne Valley.

This is the second consecutive year that the PEILCC and Rock the Boat MusicFest have joined forces to promote responsible consumption of alcohol and the use of designated drivers.
