Update to our customers regarding COVID-19

March 17th, 2020

Effective March 19, 2020 at 2pm, all PEI Liquor corporate retail stores will be temporarily closed until further notice.

To build on new measures recently put in place at our locations, and to ensure the safety of our teams and customers, effective Wednesday March 18, we will no longer be accepting cash as a tender option, and will be strongly encouraging tap payments where possible.

We apologize for this temporary inconvenience this additional preventative measure may pose.

To our valued Customers,

With growing global concerns around COVID-19 (“coronavirus”), PEI Liquor wishes to provide you with an update on our response to date and our commitment to you moving forward. The health, safety and well-being of our employees and guests is a top priority and we are following the lead of Canadian public health authorities at this time. We are committed to providing comfortable and safe retail experience at our locations.

We are taking appropriate measures to ensure our locations are safe including:

• Stressing the importance of proper hygiene and cleanliness at all our locations.
• Encouraging any employees that may be experiencing symptoms to stay home and not come to work and to contact their health professionals immediately.
• Restricting non-essential business travel.
• Disseminating relevant information and updates to staff in all of our locations.

While the Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current public health risk associated with coronavirus as low, we continue to monitor for developments very closely.

To protect yourself and others, we ask that anyone who is feeling unwell to refrain from visiting us so that together we can ensure a safe and comfortable environment. If you are wearing a surgical mask be aware our staff will need you to remove the mask upon entering the store otherwise we won’t be able to serve you. Again, we continue to monitor this situation closely and will provide ongoing updates as needed. We also encourage our guests to stay-up-to-date through Canada’s Public Health website.

Thank you and we look forward to serving you,
