Permits


Insets-3The PEILCC offers the following types of permits:

  • Special Occasion Permit – Class I (give)
  • Special Occasion Permit – Class II (sell)
  • Manufacturer’s Permit
  • Scientific Pursuits Permit
  • Preparations Containing Alcohol

SPECIAL OCCASION PERMIT

This is a one-day permit which authorizes the holder to give (class I) or sell (class II) alcoholic beverages to invited guests at events of a private nature.

Permit applications must be submitted in advance of the event:

  • Class I must be submitted at least one week in advance.
  • Class II must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.

Fees:

  • The fee for a Class I permit is $20.00;
  • The fee for a Class II permit is $50.00.

Note: No permit will be issued for any function to be held on a licensed premises.

No permit is required for an event taking place on personal private property providing the liquor is being given and not sold. At no time is liquor allowed to be sold without benefit of an approved permit as outlined above.

All liquor must be purchased from the PEILCC. Exception: Kegged beer may be directly purchased from a manufacturer licensed by the PEILCC.

Donated liquor is not allowed nor is homemade liquor which includes product made at a ferment on premise (ex: U-Brew or U-Vin).

MANUFACTURING / SCIENTIFIC PURSUITS PERMIT

This is a one year permit for druggists, physicians, dentists, veterinarians and persons engaged in the manufacturing business or scientific pursuits. The permit authorizes the holder to purchase liquor for the use in the business or profession.


PREPARATIONS CONTAINING ALCOHOL PERMIT

This is a one-year permit which authorizes the holder to purchase liquor to be used in preparations that will be sold by retail.

Permit applications should be submitted at least 7 days in advance of the requested date for approval.

Fees:

  • The fee for any of these permits is $50.00

HOSPITAL PERMIT

This is a one-year permit that authorizes a hospital to purchase liquor for medicinal use.

CLERGYMAN – SACRAMENTAL WINE PERMIT

This is a one-year permit which authorizes a clergyman to purchase wine for sacramental purposes.

Permit applications should be submitted at least 7 days in advance of the requested date for approval.

Fees:

  • There are no fees for either of these permits
