Festival of Wines Returns to Charlottetown with Exciting New VIP Tasting Experience

Charlottetown, PEI – April 22, 2024 – PEI Liquor proudly announces the return of the Festival of Wines, celebrating its 29th edition from May 23-25 in Charlottetown. This year’s festival introduces an exclusive VIP Tasting event on Thursday night, offering a unique, intimate evening of wine discovery.

The VIP Tasting, set for Thursday, May 23, will feature a limited ticket release to ensure a relaxed atmosphere. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore over 35 exclusive wines, carefully selected for the discerning palate, in addition to the more than 300 wines included in this year’s wine list. The new culinary sensation, Ada, will enhance the experience with exquisite food samples.

The grand tastings on Friday and Saturday will allow patrons to sample over 300 wines, with a special feature on this year’s country, Chile. Culinary pairings will be provided by Red Shores Racetrack and Casino on Friday and Peakes Quay on Saturday.

In partnership with Blooming House, a local women’s shelter, the festival will donate all proceeds from the coat check and the wine fridge raffle draw to support this vital community resource. Additionally, the wine boutique at the Eastlink Centre will offer exclusive wines not typically available on PEI, with VIP ticket holders gaining first access on Thursday from 4pm to 10:30pm. The wine boutique will be open to the general public Friday, May 24 beginning at noon and Saturday, May 25 at 10am.

Shoppers can enjoy special promotions, including a complimentary bottle of Pastello Vino Rosato with the purchase of any three bottles (limit of 1 per customer), and a $10 PEI Liquor gift card for every $100 spent at the boutique.
